Know you would like to audition? Our High School audition sign-up is now active!! High School Auditions will take place April 26th and 27th at our studio in Akron (1932 Akron Peninsula Rd, Akron OH 44313). Middle School auditions will be May 11th at our studio. For the audition you will need to prepare a verse and a chorus of a song that best shows off your vocal range. You must have some sort of accompaniment (YouTube karaoke track/mp3/live piano) but no live accompanist will be provided for you. If you cannot make those dates, that high school make up is May 9th and the middle school make up can be done by making an appointment with the Main Street director, Carson Reitz.
There will also be a dance portion in which the dance is taught at our Audition Jump Starts. The high school Audition Jump Start is on April 21st. The middle school Audition Jump Start will be April 20th. We will also record the dance and send a link the a video for those to practice.
When you sign-up for auditions you sign up for a 5 minute slot during an hour block. In the 5 minute block you will sing your song and do a warm-up/voice check with the directors. The last 20 minutes of the block will be for the dance portion, which will be done as a group. Each person must stay the entire block until they complete their dance audition.
